Genesis 8:11-13King James Version (KJV)
11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
God's blessings come in many shapes and forms. Many believe that God's blessings come to answer a current hardship. But, in actuality, God's blessings may be the answer to future hardships. Also, God's blessings may come as the hardships. I feel that God's blessings should not be viewed as answers, but learning opportunities. Let me explain through an example.
As a child, you hated to go to school. You saw school as a burden. But, as time went on, you would use what you learned in school, everyday. Now, you realize that hardship was a blessing. If you denied that 'learning opportunity' you would have missed basic knowledge about the world around you.
I do not doubt that another opportunity may present itself, as a learning tool. But, my guess would be that the opportunity will be more difficult. When missed opportunities come back around, they are, normally, tougher. Yet, it is still an opportunity, to learn. Many of life's difficult situations can be traced, back, to a missed opportunity. Unlearn.
