Show vs Tell Marcus Lacewell Philippians 1: 12-14 12 But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, 13 so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; 14 and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Everything happens for a reason. And, that reason is to show the goodness of God. Telling of God's goodness has become so common that it has almost lost its power. Showing God's goodness is, and will always be, very powerful. Someone can tell you over and over that fire is hot, but you would not, truly, know until you feel its heat. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Most times, when something happens to you that you feel is negative, it is just an opportunity for you to show God's goodness. If you stay strong, you will see that God has already given you the 'tools' to 'make-it' through your situation. No one person could have spread the Word of God as it is today. The success has been the product of strong people that were able to be witnesses of God's goodness. So, jump on in. We all have a story that shows God's goodness. Don't be afraid, lead by example. Unlearn. |
