It may not be the hour for a blessing to come.

It may not be the hour for a blessing to come.
Marcus Lacewell (
John 2
King James Version (KJV)
2 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
Whenever everything seems 'right' and you begin feeling like you 'made it,' you always realize that something is missing. When you find out what's missing, you know who can get it for you. But, just because you want something doesn't mean that it's time for you to get it.
For example, there was a track star that was fast, but he would get fatigued quickly. His endurance was important because he wanted to compete in the 8 mile race. So, he kept practicing, by running long distances. After a few months, for some reason, he didn't make much gain to his endurance.
He was practicing so much that it began affecting his work schedule. He began to 'fall behind' on his bills. All because he wanted to increase his endurance, for competition. After a few months, of the same, he stopped practicing so that he could 'catch-up' on his bills. So, he was forced to get another job. He worked during the day, at one job, and during the night, at the other job.
After a few tiresome months, he began to think of how he could earn the same income just by winning a few races. The next time that he was 'off' at both jobs, instead of sleeping all day, he went to the track. He ran 4 miles and felt great. So, he ran 8....then 12....then 16. "Wow!," he said. "With a little practice, I'll be a contender!"
How many times have you asked for 'wine,' but got 'water.' Are you willing to get water? Yet, after you draw out, and was thankful for, 'water,' you bear 'wine.' But, when did the 'water' turn to 'wine'? Does it matter? Unlearn.
