And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Many people say, and feel, that if you want something bad enough, pray and ask God about it. He will provide it. Yet, I feel that this is not necessarily true. This 'thought' only displays faith in the phrase, 'Ask and you shall receive,' but does not display faith in God. If what you desire, and ask God about, does not, eventually, align with God's plan, it will not come. In other words, things are not granted to you just because you want, and ask God for, them.
Many people set God up for unavoidable failure. No matter how much, or how, you ask Him. He will not provide you with anything that will lead to your demise. Yet, people's actions are, basically, saying, 'I will believe in God if He gives me what I ask Him for.' We would see all the 'good' that can come from the things that we ask from God. But, God sees the 'good' and 'bad' results of the future. Have you ever not received something that you've asked for? Then, later, be thankful that you did not receive it, because of its negative ending result. We do not see these negative result when we ask. But God does. So, be careful what you wish for. Unlearn.
